PANTOUFLE UPDATE!
So we have officially given our new cat a collar, well it has been a couple of weeks now, but I have been a horrible blogger recently and have yet to "keep it fresh" so I apologize!

So are lovely new kitty, Pantoufle (pahn-too-fle) has been a wonderful addition. He is sweet and adorable, he has eyes as big as jolly ranchers and are a delight to see as he pounces on me in the morning to wake me up for breakfast. His kitten-like qualities are fun and add extra spice to our office and home! I think that our other cat, Penelope is even warming up to him! Pantoufle adores her and follows her everywhere, watching everything she is doing and then mimicking her, their interactions are fantastic. He is getting much more comfortable and barely leaves the property now. He still meows louder than anything I have ever heard, but it can be a nice sound (sometimes). Pantoufle is also one of the largest cats I have ever had, sprawled out from head to toe he is over a whopping three feet long! WOW! His back paws look more like rabbit paws than cats, he is much manlier than our little petite Penny!

He is a smart little fellow and will do anything to open a door, including leaping off the bed, grasping his two paws around the knob and sliding down the door and then attempting again. Sometimes he will brace himself between the wall and door and try to pry the door open from the bottom with his nails, sometimes it works... other times, not so successful! At first I just thought he wanted out but I think it is fun for him! I will open the door to let him out and he will runs out, then right back in! He is a weirdo for sure, but he is our weirdo and I love him more each day!

I will be bringing him in for his first vet appointment very soon, hopefully he will not run away after that! Stray cats can be so wonderful, so caring and sweet. I am thrilled he walked into our door and I think he is too! Let's see how he does on our cross country drive, that should really throw him for a loop!

P.S. The Word Pantoufle, is a french word, meaning house slipper. It is barely used in the French language anymore. It is also the name of the girls imaginary kangaroo in Chocolat. He was given this name because it symbolized change in the movie and he brought change to us at a time when everything was changing around us, so it was only right! We call him Toof or Toofers or Toofie for short. It really fits him!

P.S.S. I originally thought Pantoufle was a she, turns out... the she is a HE! :)

Cute little cat!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. As soon as I saw your name, it looked familiar to me. Then I checked your Etsy shop and realized I bought a Happy Birthday banner from you back in June for my Mom's surpise party! (I didn't have the bake shop yet, so it was purchased by atd527). The banner was perfect! It's so strange that a few months later you found my blog! Small World!
