New original art prints

We at Earmark Invitations are proud to announce several new art prints available in our etsy shop and our web site, where some of them are on sale. Featuring original artwork and inspiring quotes, these will look great hanging in any home or office.

Sometimes There's A Man

This image is an homage to perhaps the greatest movie protagonist of all time, The Dude (or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing) from The Big Lebowski.

The quote comes from the opening scene of the film, where we first meet The Dude, standing in the dairy section of a Ralph's Supermarket, sniffing a carton of half-and-half as the mysterious cowboy narrator says: "Sometimes, there's a man, well, he's the man for his time and place. He fits right in there. And that's the Dude, in Los Angeles."

Destination

"One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things."
This quote from Henry Miller seems quite relevant in today's world. Combined with a beautiful painterly image of a small Dutch farming village, the message makes you think about how many different ways of life there are on this planet. And travel, if it's done properly, is an eye- and mind-opening experience that always leaves the traveler with a bit of new perspective.

Peace

"Better than a thousand hollow words, is one word that brings peace."
This quote from none other than the Buddha is one of those messages that encourages us to simplify our lives. Choose your words thoughtfully.

Nature

"Study nature, love nature,
Stay close to nature.
It will never fail you."
Architect Frank Lloyd Wright was known for bringing connections to nature into his unique buildings. This quote is a great reminder that it's important to stay connected to our environment. If we are more aware of our impact on this planet, we'll all be more likely to help bring about a change.

Rearview Mirror

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
In the last 12 years, I've moved 10 times. Almost every time, it brought about great anxiety beforehand, and some feelings of remorse afterward. Was this a good idea? What if we can't survive out here on our own? But those feelings become overwhelmed by an inner strength that we all possess. Each one of us has the power within him to overcome any challenge.

These prints represent some of our biggest inspirations, and we hope they inspire you as well!
